Year 13s win £60,000 bursaries to pay for university
We are delighted to announce that our sixth formers have been very successful in applying this year’s Marshall Wace university bursaries – funding available to outstanding Ark students to help them pay for university. Between them, four students won an incredible £60,000 of funding, with Kishan being awarded £30,000 to cover all of his university costs and saying “I can’t believe it. This has given me serious motivation to get my A’s”. Omnia added “my family are going to be so happy, this really will make a massive difference” and Laila commented that “It’s like winning the lottery!”. They now need to work hard to win places at their chosen universities to be able to take up their bursaries.
All of our sixth formers have shown great progress towards their chosen university courses, with notable successes including our head girl, Olufunke, winning a highly sought after place at the ‘Applied Medical Sciences Summer School’ at University College London.
