Celebrating student's triumph at the Brent “Speak Out” Challenge! Regional Final for achieving 1st Place!

Each year over 20,000 students across London and Essex take part in Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge! the world’s largest public speaking competition. There are 37 different Regional Champions and these speakers these are among the top 0.2% of young speakers in London and Essex.

The Speakers Trust and the Jack Petchey Foundation would like to congratulate Diya on this outstanding achievement. 

Diya’s public speaking performance on 22nd January 2020 was voted on by an independent judging panel comprising of: Andrew Billington, Vice Chair, Speakers Trust; Cllr Ihtesham Afzal, Co-Chair, Brent Youth Parliament; Elizabeth Barber, Voice Tutor & Consultant, RADA Business; Mark Davidson, Brent Borough Commander, London Fire Brigade; Davina Smith, Community Safety Manager, London Borough of Brent; Sarah Whale, Interim Finance Professional and Nabiha Shaikh, JPSOC Runner-Up, Brent 2018-19.
