Music Department enjoy visits to the famous Cecil Sharp House & London Philiharmonic Orchestra
The Music department had a very busy week before the half term break with many trips and opportunities for our musicians.
On Wednesday 13th, there was an Ark choir trip to the famous Cecil Sharp House where our pupils sang with other Ark choirs and were coached through a beautiful set of repertoire by professional musicians.
In the evening, Miss Green took two very talented Year 11 musicians to sing at the Brent Jack Petchey regional event. Both Mariam and Nazareth did an amazing job at holding the stage and impressing the audiences members from across Brent.
Finally, on Thursday 14th February, the GCSE music visited the Royal Festival Hall on the Southbank to watch the London Philiharmonic Orchestra play one of the GCSE set works be played and analysed by a famous musician. It was an excellent show and very interesting for our GCSE musicians to help with their study! We look forward to hearing what else the Music department has in store this Spring term.
