Year 11 experience the Shakespeare play 'Macbeth' by the Young Shakespeare Company

Friday 15 February 2019

On Tuesday 12th February the whole of Year 11 attended a performance of 'Macbeth' by the Young Shakespeare Company. Not only did all students get to watch an expertly acted, abridged version of their GCSE Shakespeare play but they also had the opportunity to delve inside the actors methods and explore the interpretations and choices a theatre company makes when they decide to put on a performance.

There was an opportunity for questions at the end and a selection of students even had roles in the performance as hired murderers, banquet guests and Banquo's son: Fleance. Year 11 were an excellent audience and the performance will serve as a highly effective revision tool as they continue to revise the play.
