Year 10 have fun in the science lab

Year 10 Moonstone have been putting their learning into practice in Mrs Zarrabi's science lessons. Students have been learning how to make compounds. Compounds are substances that contain atoms of at least two elements chemically combined.

Students made magnesium oxide by burning a piece of magnesium metal over the flame of a Bunsen burner. Magnesium oxide has many uses, including in medicines and manufacturing.

Mrs Zarrabi said: "Well done to 10 Moonstone for working hard and having a positive attitude to learning."
