Year 13 discover movie making magic

Year 13's BTEC Business students had the opportunity to visit the world of Harry Potter at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour yesterday. The students went behind the scenes at the famous Leavesden studios to see where the Harry Potter films were made and learnt about the finances of the film industry. They focused on how directors and producers can ensure a profitable premiere, and were surprised at just how much it costs to make a film.

The students also learnt trade secrets and had the opportunity to see the original props and costumes from the Harry Potter films. There was also a wintry treat, as the studio's Hogwarts sets have recently undergone a magical makeover for the Christmas season.

Ms Wright, who led the trip, said: "It was a truly magical day, especially when it snowed!"
