At BAFTA in Piccadilly, we won the mental health excellence award at the Place2Be Wellbeing in Schools Awards.
The award recognises our work to remove the stigma around mental health. The awards - presented by Place2Be Ambassadors Katie Thistleton and Rhys Stephenson - brought together our 29 finalists chosen from over 120 nominations by an independent panel of expert judges.
The awards are open to schools that work with Place2Be and celebrates inspiring ambassadors of positive mental health. This includes children, young people and adults who go above and beyond to support mental wellbeing in their school communities.
In accepting the award on behalf of our Principal Ms Curtis, Mr Ittu said “What we try to do every day is give the children the best education possible, but also we want it to be a second home, a sanctuary, a place of safety where they know their voices will be heard, their fears allayed. I’d like to thank Place2Be for their support. Place2Be has just been fantastic and I don’t know what we would have done without them”.
