The Year 7 trip to watch a performance of 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream' at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre
Welcome from our Principal, Ms Rebecca Curtis
I am delighted and proud to welcome you to Ark Elvin Academy. I joined the school in December 2016 and am working hard with our pupils and staff to rapidly improve our school. We want nothing less than a great education for all our pupils. Our motto – ‘dare for greatness’ – runs through everything that we do. It reminds us that as a school community, we must uphold our core values of integrity, courage, community and mastery.
As Principal, it is my responsibility to create an environment in which your child can become a confident, articulate, culturally aware young adult. With the support of my dedicated staff, our students will be able to pursue careers they are passionate about, contribute to society and live happy, healthy and fulfilled lives. I want to work with you – our parents and carers – to achieve my vision for Ark Elvin. You are a valued member of our school community.
By the time your child leaves our care, we want them to be able to go on to university or into a career of their choice. That’s why we have set such high expectations in our school community and we make more time for English and maths. These skills are vital not only in performing well in other subject areas, but later in the world of work too.
Please take a look around our website to find out what we can offer your child. The best way to really understand our school is to experience it. I would love to show you around and answer any questions you may have. Please contact my PA Ms R. Kurtinaityte on firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a visit.
