Over the last six months, more than 70 students and the Performing Arts team have been hard at work rehearsing for Sister Act – the musical.
The process started in February with a round of successful auditions, and shortly after, students began rehearsing three nights a week. The musical was a great success, premiering with a matinee performance for Stonebridge Primary School. The cast and crew then put on two fantastic evening shows for staff, parents and students in our school theatre.
Students worked hard learning lines, remembering songs, putting their costumes together and polishing their performances. We also had a very hard-working backstage crew of students working behind the scenes to ensure the stage transitions, lighting and sound were smooth and professional.
Highlights included a pit band accompaniment of ‘Raise Your Voice’, directed by Mr McGovern (Music), and a fantastic set design created by Ms Connett (DT) and Ms Benjamin (Drama). A huge congratulations to our cast and crew, who worked hard to perform three outstanding performances.
