Ark Elvin Pupils Achieve Incredible BTEC Results
Ark Elvin pupils achieved our best ever set of BTEC results across all measures.
Pupils at our unique Sixth Form study Professional Pathways in Applied Science, Business, Exercise and Sport. Our BTEC results are likely to put us in the top 5% of schools in the country!
76% of our pupils achieved at least DDD – an incredible achievement!
Pupils will be going to a variety of top destinations including the University of Warwick, Sheffield, Kent and Surrey.

Individual Pupil Success Included:
Andrii Halchuk, 18
achieved D*D*D* in IT and an A in A Level Maths and is going to study Computer Science at the University of Warwick. Andrii arrived in the UK during Year 11 from Ukraine. Andrii was turned down from every Sixth Form he applied to with the exception of Ark Elvin Academy. Andrii has also gained additional GCSEs in Russian, Computer Science and Physics whilst at Elvin, securing top grades in each. Andrii wants to pursue a career in Computer Science. He said: ‘The school really helped me get into a top university. I was part of a number of trips, including to the University of Exeter and Newcastle, which really helped me make a decision about whether to apply to university'

Rudrik Hari, 18
achieved D*D*D* in Applied Science a B in A Level Maths and is going to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Surrey, one of the UK’s most competitive universities. Rudrik joined Elvin in Year 10 after arriving from India not speaking much English. He quickly achieved proficiency and has developed his skills throughout his time at Elvin. Rudrik said: ‘I really enjoyed my course and asked my teachers lots of questions – which they could always answer! My teachers made it easy for me to understand some of the hardest things on the course.’ Rudrik added: ‘I was able to complete work experience which gave me experience of different environments. I also visited a number of different universities.’

Yvonne Gyamfi, 19
achieved DDD in Applied Science and is going to study Psychology at Westminster. Yvonne joined Elvin in Year 12, making excellent progressing in passing her GCSE in Maths. Yvonne is also a Marhsall Wace Bursary winner. Yvonne said: ‘A degree in psychology will equip me with the knowledge and skills to achieve my goal, which is to help strength relationships and support people in cultivating meaningful, lasting connections.’ She added: ‘The teachers have helped me to be really successful at Elvin – I was really well supported.’

Robert Lucescu, 18
achieved D*D*D* in Sport and Exercise Science and is going to study Physiotherapy at the University of Essex. Robert has also been awarded a bursary. Robert said: ‘One of my main motivations is the opportunity to provide physiotherapy services to impoverished countries where access to proper healthcare and rehabilitation may be limited. I aim to use my knowledge and skills to improve the quality of life for people.’

‘We could not be more proud of our students this year – they are outstanding role models and have made such a difference for our community in their time at Elvin, have achieved great results and are now moving onto fantastic universities. Our 6th form is designed to keep the doors to university and top apprenticeships open to young people for whom A Levels are not the right qualification and once again our pupils have shown that they can make extraordinary progress and achieve at the very highest levels.’
