Year 11 Trip to Lille
On Wednesday 1st March Year 11 pupils studying French made their way to Lille for the day. We set off very early to catch the Eurostar from Kings Cross direct to France. When we arrived, we were so fortunate that the sun was shining and the sky was blue! We began the day with a trail around Lille, looking at the buildings and walking around the old town to admire the beautiful architecture. After some free time in the city, we made our way to a local park for lunch together.
In the afternoon we enjoyed time with our friends with a game of bowling and some time browsing the shops in the shopping district of Lille. The day ended too quickly when we had to get to the station for 6pm for our return train but it was a fantastic day. Year 11 pupils made us proud and represented Elvin to the highest of standards. The MFL department look forward to the next trip!
